New Moon in Taurus

15. May 2018

Zodiac beautiful girls set (African American version). Taurus.

May 15th the sun and moon again conjunct, and we have a soft and feminine new moon in the earthy sign of Taurus.

However, soft and nurturing as a Taurus moon may be, her sweet energy better be ready to get ruffled by the entry of whirlwind Uranus into her sign on the day of the new moon. This is a major change for Taurus, as last time Uranus visited the bull was between 1934 and 1941, and let’s just say that sensual, domesticated Taurus not exactly thrives in the company of wild-card Uranus, the planet of shock and surprises, and who’s energy is all over the place at the best of times.

Still, new moons are times of reflection, and our monthly opportunity to reset our goals and intentions. Having stepped out of last month’s impatient and fiery Aries energy, Taurus beginnings are slow and solid. Where Aries might bring the quick transformation of a fire, Taurus brings the slow transformation that comes with watering and taking care of a tiny seed planted in the earth. It’s all about those goals and plans that you are willing to water and nurture over the long haul. Just remember to be extra mindful as you plant your intention on this new moon. With Uranus crashing our new moon party, his abrupt energy can easily be the cause of some sudden changes and upheaval that you did not see coming. And as we are basking in all that slow and steady Taurus energy at the moment, we might not be too comfortable with the earth erupting around the seed we just so carefully planted.

But revolutionary company or not, ruled by loved goddess Venus, a Taurus new moon is also a time to adore life’s simple pleasures. Run a flower bath, nourish your garden, smell the flowers, read in front of the fireplace, enjoy warm, soft fabrics, sweet kisses, savory meals, vintage wine…the list goes on. Taurus simply loves to indulge in the finer things in life, and there’s an ever-present longing to live in harmony and to be present with the beauty that surrounds her. Taurus also likes to take her sweet time and to her it is a necessity to schedule much needed time to rest and relax. She thrives best when she can move through life at ‘Taurus time’, giving herself time to build solid foundations, and feel grounded and connected to the earth; let the Taurus new moon be your opportunity to do the same.

On the more shadowy side, Taurus’ energy can easily drag us into a mentality of lack and fear, so embrace the bull’s energy with awareness. Too much of that rooted energy and you may get glued to that comfortable sofa, stuck in your own stubbornness, unable to leave your comfort zone if your life depended on it. Too little and you will mindlessly be numbing out unpleasant emotions by running around nonstop, distracting yourself from being present and over-indulging in life’s pleasures. Find the middle way! The main purpose of learning about the energies that surround us at all times, is after all so that we can adapt and draw on their strengths as well as be prepared for their weaknesses, and personally I definitely prefer to work with the energies, rather than try to avoid them or feel like I’m fighting a constant upstream battle. Thus, with challenges like erratic and impulsive Uranus’ entry into Taurus, we want to be prepared: Fixed earth sign Taurus is consistent, loyal and stable. Uranus is unpredictable, experimental and eruptive. That sounds like a miss-match in heaven if I ever saw one.  So, if you have your natal chart, you may want to have a look to see where you have Uranus and Taurus in your chart, as Uranus would love to bring some turbulence – or maybe a much-needed revolution?! – into those areas of your life.

Don’t be scared though. As long as you don’t refuse your guidance and your growth, life will flow in the direction of your soul’s purpose. What you can do is to practice awareness, and to start to get even better at scheduling those moments by yourself, taking time to breathe, ground and practice self-love. The Taurus new moon is also a good time to start embracing material simplicity and to take time to de-clutter and simplify your life. The less clutter, the less chances of things getting tossed around, right? Also, if you are one of those that has a bit too much of that Taurus’ sluggishness hindering you in taking chances and moving forward, Uranus entrance might actually give you exactly the push you need to get your but up and moving. And if we can manage to not cling to status quo, Uranus’ abrupt changes can definitely be a means to liberation, bringing in a breath of fresh air, and freeing us of old and outdated behaviors. Keep in mind though, that Uranus energy being so widely different from the Taurus energy can make it challenging to utilize the planets energy at the best of times, so work with it wisely.

Nevertheless, as the stillness of the new moon wraps itself around you, set aside time for that much needed me-time in true Taurus fashion. Slow down, do some neck stretches (Taurus rules the neck and throat chakra), soak in the flower bath and be patient and loving towards yourself. Close your eyes, take a couple of deep breaths and root down into the healing energies of Pachamama. Connect again with that sacred pool of stillness within yourself. Then listen. Don’t grasp. Don’t run. Simply be, and let the stillness bring the answers to you, as you let yourself align with that moment of truth.

Then, send out your new moon wishes, as you find the courage to let go and surrender your wishes with an open heart. Trusting the future and your process, you create space for the Universe to do her manifesting magic, knowing that the new moon will light the path ahead for you.

New Moon Blessings!

Full Moon in Pisces

6. September 2017

Depositphotos_37588209_original

The Sun has entered structured Virgo, the eclipse season is over for now, Mercury finally (phew!) went direct yesterday, and today we have a soft and flowy Full Moon in the last sign of the zodiac; intuitive and creative Pisces.

As we shift our focus from the fiery New Moon in Leo two weeks back, and start to dive into the watery sign of Pisces, you can literally feel your body soften, aligning with the fluidity of this mutable sign. And, even though the powerful and fiery Leo Solar Eclipse will continue to work it’s magic until February 2018, this Full Moon is a time to slow down, tune in, reset and recharge.

The Energy of the Pisces Full Moon is intuitive, creative and dreamy, and as the lunar qualities of emotions and instincts reach their peak at a full moon, find the stillness to dive in deep. Journey into the depths of your subconscious to better understand where you are, and where life is trying to lead you.

Pisces being the last sign of the zodiac, symbolizing endings and finalizations, September’s Full Moon is urging us to close some doors, and to get rid of whatever holds us back, keeping us stuck in the past. But with the Full Moon strongly influences by its conjunction (alignment) with its ruler, Neptune (currently retrograde in Pisces), you might feel more foggy and confused, than clear and assertive, with no clue of which doors to close and which to open. The struggle is real indeed.

The key to clarity in times like this, is to try to not think too much. To stop grasping for answers and to surrender the constant need for control. This is life. It is uncertain. So instead of insisting on a certain outcome, let your life fall into place organically. Leave some room for the universe to work her magic! And, remember, that even though Neptune and Pisces may seem foggy and unclear, they are both highly intuitive, making this a perfect time for introspection.

Personally, I love Neptune. I used to find him a bit scary – or outright annoying – but he’s grown on me. Neptune has a magnetic, enchanting energy, and, more importantly, he has depth. Neptune in many ways represents the journey into the unknown. The path of the mystic. Neptune doesn’t have structure like Saturn, and for us humans who generally like to know the outcome of all situations – especially our life – the fluidity of Neptune can be scary.

But I’ve come to view Neptune like I view the spiritual path: You’re not supposed to know everything. It’s about trusting your path even when it’s too dark to see the next step, knowing that everything will be revealed at the perfect time. And experience has thought me that “foggy” in most cases is simply “not supposed to know yet”. It’s about trusting the timing of your life. Nothing is random in the Universe.

And the same can be said for Pisces. Pisces, as it’s ruler, Neptune, is connected to those deep depths of the psyche and the subconscious. I like to compare them to the ocean, as both Neptune’s and Pisces’ energy has many resemblances to the sea: It can knock you over – or you can learn how to surf the wave. You may feel it overwhelming, scary and drowning – or you can learn how to float in this sea. You can escape far up onto the beach to “play it safe” or you can learn how to swim.

In the same way we fear the power and depth of the ocean, or the intensity of the intuitive and intangible energy of Neptune and Pisces we are often scared of the depth of our own psyche, and the strength of our true powers. And, it is this fear of the unknown, of what might arise if we don’t stay in control, that leads us into the escapism that they both are so (in)famous for. Because diving deep under the surface is scary. You never know what you may find there. So, you can try to escape – through too much work or sex or drugs or drinks – whatever keeps you occupied from yourself – or you can find the courage to dive under the surface and embrace the beauty and enchantment of another universe. The choice is always yours.

There is no need to be fearful though. Take a deep breath, let out a big sigh, dive in, and trust that you will be just fine. Find that state of complete surrender, simply allowing the energy of the enchanting Pisces Moon to open and awaken you.

And, remember, as always, a Full Moon is Sun opposing Moon, which means the Sun now is in earthy and practical Virgo. So, if the energies of the Full Moon at any time gets too much, you can always draw on the more grounded Virgo energy. It’s all about the balance.

Happy Full Moon lovelies!

Let it all go, trust the wait, embrace the uncertainty, expect miracles and enjoy the beauty of becoming ♡ Set your intention, then allow the Universe to figure out the details. But don’t grasp, don’t cling, don’t expect… The Universe knows what belongs in your life and what doesn’t, so find the courage to trust and letgo, knowing that whatever is meant for you will always, always find you. Everything you are experiencing at this moment, whatever it is, is exactly what you need, so don’t fight it. Surrender to it. Trust the timing of your life. Trust that when nothing is certain, absolutely anything is possible. Trust that you are on your path, exactly where you are ment to be. And when it’s all finished, you will discover nothing was ever random.

It’s OK to be in a place of struggle. Struggle is just another word for growth. Even the most evolved beings find themselves in a place of struggle now and then. In fact, struggle is a sure sign that they are expanding; It is their indication of real and important progress. The only one who doesn’t struggle is the one who doesn’t grow. So if you are struggeling right now – see it as a terrific sign. Celebrate your struggle ♡

The Gifts of Imperfections

16. May 2017

8f51d69d-603a-4c7c-87f0-0e98dc28c299

What are the things you can lose yourself in for hours at a time? In Brene Brown ‘s book ‘The gifts of imperfection’ taking time to play is a key piece of whole hearted living. Our society tends to dismiss play for adults – it’s perceived as unproductive, petty or even a guilty pleasure. The notion is that once we reach adulthood, it’s time to get serious. But exhaustion is not a status symbol and your self-worth is not measured by your productivity. The truth is that it’s as important to protect playtime as work, as the opposite of play is not work – it’s depression. Play – doing things just because they’re fun – is actually vital to human development. It leads you to those sacred spaces; it’s rekindling and it’s healing. So don’t be afraid to lose track of time once in a while. In fact do it as often as you can.

You can purchase Brene Browns book The Gifts of Imperfection here.
