With the sun transiting airy Gemini, Friday, June 5th, we will have a lovely Full Moon in the twins opposing sign; fiery Sagittarius. Starting to shift our focus from earthy Taurus’ basic survival needs and the primal energy of last month’s rather intense Scorpio moon, this month will bring some much-needed lightheartedness and a spark of renewed energy and purpose.
Ruled by messenger Mercury, Gemini brings life to our ideas and thoughts, and teaming up with firestarter Sagittarius, there should be nothing stopping us from getting our ideas out there. Sagittarius is all about expanding our horizon, and the generous archer loves to give advice and share experiences, always encouraging us to better understand and broaden our perception of the world. Communication, attitude, and our sense of adventure will all be strongly connected to this full moon, and with Sagittarius being ruled by one of the heavens beneficiaries, expansive and lucky Jupiter, fullness and completion are on the table.
No matter how easygoing the energies may be, it is important to remember that a full moon is always Sun opposing Moon, highlighting opposing forces in our life. Polarities are rarely easy, and ,thus, the time of the full moon will always bring the challenge of balancing the representing opposing energies, and even though both Gemini and Sagittarius are considered to be in the “lighter” end of the zodiac spectrum, there are still challenges to be found.
To Sagittarius, airy Gemini can come across as a bit too indecisive and superficial. Gemini, only brushing the surface of topics, knows something about everything, while fiery, passionate Sagittarius are on a quest for meaning and ideas that expand upon the “here and now”. Where Gemini is quite comfortable at home, spending time contemplating ideas from here and into the unforeseeable future, bold and bright Sagittarius encourages us to venture far beyond our comfort zone, and preferably took the leap yesterday. Many may consider Sagittarius a bit too reckless or lighthearted, but it is important to remember that the archer, always in search of individual meaning and spiritual growth, is also wise and expansive. Sagittarius’ happy-go-lucky energy simply comes from its unwavering faith in the Universe and trusting that it will all work out as it’s meant to. Like the first card of the Tarot deck, The Fool, Sagittarius is comfortable stepping out into the unknown, and more easily than others find the courage to take that first leap of faith that is so crucial for getting started on our soul’s journey – or kicking of a new project. Find your equilibrium though. Not being able to walk your talk is no good, but neither is action without thought, so be cautious to find a balance between thoughts and action. That being said, life is an adventure, so whatever you do, don’t stagnate! (Said the girl with her Rising + Moon, Mars, Uranus and Neptune in Sag).
There is a more challenging side to this full moon, though. As easygoing as Sagittarius is known to be, lunar eclipses are nothing but. Eclipses are known to cause abrupt endings which may not feel so nice right in the middle of it. Eclipses often turn our world upside down, so even though you may think you’ve got it all sorted, with your future planned down to every tiny detail, you may not land where you think you will, or where you want to, but trust that it’s always, always where you should. No exceptions. Eclipses are extremely powerful teachers and guides, pushing you in the right direction, so ready or not, here it comes. And keep in mind that whatever ends under an eclipse is always meant to end. It’s inevitable. Destined. Fate. So don’t try to fight the changes, it will only make it so much harder. Just breathe and try to be curious as to where your path is going, and trust trust trust that the Universe is guiding you down your unique path with wonders and adventures you can only begin to imagine at this point in time. Take some time for introspection and journaling under this Full Moon, think back to whatever happened around the last eclipse period – January 2020 – and know that you are working on a very specific area of your life for a reason. And yes, you might want to fight it, we all somewhat resistant to change most of the time, but trust me, a lunar eclipse will make sure that you get – and do – your karmic homework.
On the other hand, if you have been paying attention in class, i.e. been committed to clearing out your old shit and doing inner work, you may find this Full Moon to be one of those moments where you’ll have a major breakthrough. And as you step up to your highest potential, you may suddenly find that those pieces of your life that has been on hold for a while, now magically falls into place, bringing with it a sense of newfound peace. Know that these changes are changes for the better, and the endings and turmoil you’ve been going through these past six months has been necessary to create space for the new beginning.
See if you can keep an open mind through this transition, and dare to expand, as the more you learn to live life with the flow, instead of fighting your way upstream, the easier your process will be. This decade may have started you with the breaks on, but rather than condemning the slow start, see it as an opportunity to slow down enough to see the greater picture. See it as a time to clear out what doesn’t work out and to make room for what does. And then, as your luggage gets lighter, so to speak, watch how things suddenly start to speed up and fall into place for you to dive into this new chapter of your life. Dare to question what you know to be true, and find the courage to expand into a newer, better, bolder version of you: Feel more, love more, and embrace the opportunities around you.
Embrace Jupiter’s larger than life energy, and simply expand into all that you can be. Feel the excitement and joy of being a little reckless, and ignore anyone who wants to dull your sparkle. This full moon is your opportunity to reach your greatest potential, stepping up to your soul’s path. Every now and then we have to consider whether we are in the right place to facilitate the growth and expansion we need, and the truth is that sometimes we will have to go far beyond familiar ground to find a place called home. Harness the bold and joyous Sagittarius energy, and take a leap of faith. This is a time to let go of perfection, and be unapologetically who you really are, knowing that the moment you accept yourself fully, the world does too.
More than anything; do what makes you happy. Do what makes you healthy and strong. Do what make you feel alive! You are here to be the best version of you and to live your life to the fullest, everything else is secondary. Use the powerful manifesting energy of the full moon, visualize your dreams, and find the courage to just go for it! Flow with your life, make decisions from your heart, and you cannot go wrong. Your destiny is unfolding. Get ready to be moon struck!
