The element of Earth is one of the four elements, the others being Water, Fire and Air. It should be understood that the Elements – Earth, Air, Fire and Water – are not the same as dirt, oxygen, flames and H20. The Spiritual Elements together make up everything in life (Exemplore).
The element of Earth is connected to, amongst others, strength, abundance, stability, prosperity, wealth and femininity. In rituals, Earth is represented in the forms of burying objects in the earth, herbalism, and making images out of wood or stone (Wicca).

When creating sacred space or purifying areas, objects or individuals for ritual, Earth may be employed in the form of salt or ocre, sprinkled around the area or used to make a mark. The element may also be represented by statues of animals associated with the element of Earth, such as the bull, the stag, the dragon, the wolf, the owl, the cat and the sphinx (Witchipedia).
