Today, March 9th, the sun and moon are again facing each other and it is time to welcome the last full moon of the astrological year at 19° Virgo (Exact tonight at 18.46 Oslo time).
And being the host of not only the last full moon of the astrological year, but also the Spring Equinox, March can indeed turn out to be a magical turning point in our lives.
March 20th (exact 04.49 am Oslo time) the sun stands still as the whole world balances on the tipping point of equal night and day. The sun then enters the first sign of the zodiac, go-getter Aries, and we will start the journey around the wheel of the zodiac once more. And, as we all know, new year means new beginnings, and with a stellium of planets in hard working Capricorn to drive us forward, we should all feel a not to subtle need to get s**t done at the moment.
But first things first. A full moon in the earthy and rational sign of Virgo brings with it an air of structure and neatness. Virgo needs to feel needed, and thrives best when she can be of service. This goddess is the natural ruler of the zodiac’s 6th house of health and service, so why not use this full moon to be of service to yourself and your loved ones? As always the full moon is a time to do some personal inventory, so start by checking in with yourself as well as your loved ones, then make a plan as to how you can be of service to the world and take care of yourself at the same time. A good plan is indeed the key to a Virgo’s ♡.
This full moon is not only structure and neathness though. Opposing the Virgo full moon is the sun in the emotional water sign of Pisces, currently in a close conjunction with its ruler Neptune. Both Pisces’ and Neptune’s energy have a tendency to cloud our perception and the Pisces sun may therefore bring with him a feeling of distortion and confusion. Thus, however grounded and structured Virgo may be, when she is forced to face the sun head on in fluid, irrational Pisces, the energy surrounding us at this time may for some feel far from grounded, and closer to an internal war zone between our head (Virgo) and our heart (Pisces) instead.
Virgo likes plans and structure. Pisces likes to ebb and flow. Virgo likes to have her barriers up. In Pisces our guard is down. This water sign leave us feeling soft and malleable. Fluid and changeable. And utterly ruled by our emotions. This is not an easy task to handle for a structured Virgo who prefer everything in order, in it’s right place, at all times. Virgo simply doesn’t know what to do with it. It’s like trying to grasp water with a strainer or controlling the tides of the ocean, which needless to say makes Virgo feel both anxious and overwhelmed.
On a positive note, if you can find the means to not get carried away by your emotioms you have the opportunity to really ground yourself here on planet earth at this time. Truth be told, we are having quite an overwhelming amount of earth energy spinning around as we speak, so why not draw in the practical and structured energy Virgo, mixe it with a powerful stellium of Saturn, Pluto, Jupiter, Mars and South Node in goal-oriented Capricorn and add a sprinkle of Venus + Uranus in resilient Taurus and get those goals rolling?!
Be sure to add some patience to your mix too though. We often tend to grasp for answers we are not supposed to have yet, but the earth element is here to remind us that we are indeed ALLOWED to take it slow – as long as we keep moving that is. Slow and steady wins the race as they say. There is simply no need – at least not at this time – to resolve everything at once. If you feel lost and confused, all you need to do is stop, breathe and touch base with your roots again.
Often seem to think that all the answers are ‘out there’, when the truth is that intuition comes from rooting down and feeling grounded, NOT from ‘flying high’, which means that the answers are more likely to be ‘down there’. In other words
, if you can manage to ground yourself properly, the intuitive influence from Neptune in Pisces may bring a couple of insights and missing pieces to the table.
And truth be told, with Virgo’s diligence, Taurus’ rock steady patience and Capricorns practicality surrounding you, you shouldn’t have too much trouble staying put if a Neptunian emotional tidal wave is about to hit you. This earthy trio will help you sort confusion and delusion from true universal guidance and guide you down the right path.
The dept of Neptune in Pisces, can also help us to add some much needed water to all the earth that may be cracked and dry. In other words, if you feel that you have run dry, you can draw on the water element to help you soften a bitor if you feel to emotional, draw inn the earth. You can’t build anything from dry, brittle, earth, and neither from a mud pond, but mix just the right amount of water woth earth and you have clay to build an empire!
Sort out everything in your life that isn’t serving your highest good. What you are filling your days with? Your life? Practice self love, and be patient with yourself as you restore and heal what may be broken. Trust that whatever is coming up for you around this full moon are the areas in your life that truly needs healing, and let your intuition guide you toward the perfect solution, knowing that if you just dare to trust your souls soft guiding, you are indeed capable of amazing things.
Set an intention to be guided, then surrender yourself to the magnificent wisdom of mother moon. Breathe and sit in stillness, honoring that quiet voice within. After all, you need to be quiet to hear your souls wisper.
Full Moon blessings ♡
